THe Best Green Smoothie from the non-Smoothie girl
Ya’ll I am NOT a smoothie girl - I would MUCH rather EAT my calories but when BB (my precious mother) introduced me to Kate from Naptime Kitchen and her Green Smoothie my world was ROCKED! This smoothie is so fresh and PACKED with so much green goodness and even my husband and kids LOVE it so it has made it’s way to a weekly staple in our house - no better way to get your greens than to drink them! This batch typically makes enough for 2 days at our house so I simply pour the leftovers into Mason Jars (ps LOVE THESE PLASTIC Lids) for a quick grab-on-the-go from the fridge! And for ya’ll who don’t own a real handheld juicer - ya’ll IT WILL CHANGE YOUR LIFE we LOVE ours so if you don’t have one - get yourself one. Handheld Citrus Juicer. This is Kate’s recipe with a few tweaks and additions I’ve made over the years so Happy Blending and a HEALTHY start to your day!! Make it a great one!
RECIPE:
1/2 long cucumber
2 - 3 stocks of celery
1 - 2 cups of frozen mango
1 banana
1 handful of parsley
1 handful cilantro
the juice from 1 lemon
the juice from 1 lime
2 handfuls of spinach
a dimes worth of chopped fresh ginger
2 cups coconut water
INSTRUCTIONS:
Pour coconut water in bottom of blender.
Put all ingredients in blinder (frozen mango at the top).
Blend until it’s “green smooth.”
