Importance of having a rain plan
1. Hire a planner and a good photographer. We had the wonderful Leslie Hollingsworth on our team for Lindsey and Robby’s first day of marriage - having excellent vendors is absolutely essential.
2. Scout your venue(s) and locations for options. Lindsey got ready at the beautiful Grand Bohemian Hotel and we got permission from the Hotel to take photos in their beautiful art gallery, used several different outside awnings and coverings around the property and then relocated to the Birmingham Botanical Gardens Greenhouse for the rest of the photos!! Sometimes the best places are right around the corner :)
3. Don't forget about the guys! Many wedding day mornings the guys may be teeing off at a local country club or in our case Robby and his men had tennis tournament followed by lunch at Hoover Country Club! Their porte-cochere was PERFECT covering from the rain.
4. Rental companies - such as Prophouse Birmingham actually RENT umbrellas so consider stocking up for your wedding party, guests or both!
5. Have peace knowing God knows every.single.detail of your wedding day - weather included and at the end of the day you will be MARRIED and thats what really matters.
